Head of Tequila Production & Lawyer
Tequila is an emblem of Mexico and my home state, Jalisco. I’m thrilled to be a part of AgaveLuz team and excited to be its Head of Tequila Production and in-house lawyer for Mexican operations.
I have been involved in the tequila industry for over 20 years. I have extensive knowledge of trademarks, representation/advice before the Tequila Regulatory Council, exporting, national/international tequila labeling, tequila import requirements and tequila production.
I began to collaborate in the office of Luis Ernesto Margain, as an advisor to different tequila companies, many of them renowned in the industry:
- Horseshoe Tequila
- Sauza Tequila
- Tapatio Tequila
- Hunter Tequila
In 2010 I went to collaborate with Tequila La Revancha, the first 3 years I was Administrative Director, being in charge of the financial administration and exports of the company. Later I became Head of Production, being in charge of all the production of the tequila company, from reception of agave cooking, grinding, fermentation, distillation, maturation, packing and export.
